My Father is Home

I lost my father on June 26, 2018. He was to me the greatest man I have ever known, Selfless. Kind. Always there for me and my sisters and the rest of his family. The values I have at my core are there because he lived them and led by example. I would not be who I am today were it not for him.

I lost my father that day, but it was not the end. He knew the Truth that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father. He was never ashamed of the Gospel or Jesus’ name, and he made it a point to share the Truth with any with an ear to hear. I do not just believe, but know beyond the shadow of a doubt that he and my mother have now been reunited in the Realm of Glory, and I also know beyond the shadow of a doubt that in the fullness of time, I will also join them.

Until then, years may pass and the pain of separation will be felt strongly, But Jesus was their blessed assurance, and He is mine as well. And on that great and awesome day of reunion, it will seem as but a fleeting moment will have passed, and all sadness and pain of loss will not even be a memory.

Until then, I pledge to both my mom and my dad to carry on their legacy as best I can. So I do not say goodbye, but rather, see you soon and I love you.
